Introduction to Type and Teams*
After more than 50 years of research and development, the current Myers-Briggs Type Instrument (MBTI) functions as a tool used worldwide in corporations to help people understand themselves and their behaviors, appreciate others so as to make constructive use of individual differences and approach problems in different yet healthy ways to create more synergy and productivity in the workplace.
Participants will take an online assessment with a customized report and learn to:- Appreciate the natural strengths and contributions of others on the team
- Understand and adapt to differences in how individuals on the team communicate, handle conflict and interact with others
- Use the basic stages of teaming and brainstorm how to maximize each stage and evolve to a higher performing team
- Optional: Create a customized mission statement and a list of operating guidelines for future meetings and interactions

Coaching for Results
Coaching is an essential skill every manager, team leader, and team member needs in today’s workplace. Coaching provides the opportunity to bring out the best in others – it makes teamwork happen. This session addresses the basics of business coaching, from goal-setting to handling difficult conversations about job performance.
Participants will assess their personal coaching skills and learn how to:- Apply a four-part model (GROW) for a coaching discussion in various work situations
- Use focused questions to guide others to their own awareness and solutions
- Listen to understand the full message being said
- Provide disciplined coaching feedback
- Identify commonly held organizational beliefs about coaching and feedback and the impact of these beliefs
- Develop a personalized plan for continuing to increase effectiveness.
Situational Leadership II & Situational Leadership for Self:
Currently one of the most used coaching programs available, Ken Blanchard’s SL II emphasizes that leadership is a partnership requiring both quality and frequency of conversations about performance and development.
Participants will learn how to:- Diagnose employee development levels on key goals and tasks
- Choose the appropriate combination of supportive and directive behaviors to motivate employees to higher performance on an individual basis
- Use performance management, goal setting and action planning skills and tools
The program has a large selection of tools to aid in effective implementation and retention of learning. It is an excellent follow up to Coaching for Results.
Meetings That Deliver
Leaders claim to spend 40-60% of their time in meetings. A consistent approach to how meetings are run and how consensus is built will reduce planning time and rework. This workshop, developed by Jan Renerts, is about getting results with consistent and effective methodology. It provides practical, repeatable processes that enhance group problem solving abilities and achieve faster, more effective decisions with strong consensus.
Participants learn how to:- Plan an effective facilitated session or meeting and choose the right processes and tools to achieve stated objectives and increase meeting productivity
- Front load your meeting for success by establishing the meeting contract including expectations for how people will contribute and how they will be accountable for results
- Sharpen the ability to quickly focus on an issue and get the group to move ahead in the face of disagreement
- Practice a consensus building process that can be modified to use in both simple and complex situations
- Practice facilitation skills such as keeping the meeting on track and dealing with people who may get off topic
- Use a kit of tools and tips to facilitate virtual meetings
